The University of Maribor, founded in 1975, is the second largest and second oldest university in Slovenia. It is an internationally recognized institution with a 50-year tradition focused on excellence, innovation, and sustainable development. UM Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science is an internationally recognised institution that brings together the fields of electrical engineering, computer science, informatics, mechatronics, telecommunications, media communications, bioinformatics, educational computing and information security. With more than 2,400 students and 320 employees, it is the largest member of the University of Maribor, combining top-level academic knowledge, research excellence and innovation to address the technological challenges of the future.

UM Faculty of Energy Engineering

The Faculty of Organizational Sciences is a member of the University of Maribor, based in Kranj. It boasts almost 70 years of tradition in education and scientific research, built around the triad PEOPLE – PROCESSES – INFORMATION, which forms the foundation of expert and managerial work in organisations.

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Maribor enrolled its first students in the 2004/2005 academic year, and over 20 years of operation, it has grown into a recognised and advanced institution that significantly contributes to the development of the profession and the northeastern region of the country.
