Accessibility statement

The accessibility statement applies to the UNI-SI Festival website, located at: https://www.festival-uni.si/

RKRS (the event organizer) undertakes to provide users with access to the central website Festival-uni.si, in accordance with the Law on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 30/18).

Adjustments provided:

  • user-friendly and easy-to-navigate website,
  • readable, logically structured with easy navigation,
  • content is equipped with internal and external links for content connectivity,
  • responsive design (adjusting content layout to screen resolution),
  • appropriate color contrasts between text and background,
  • predictable website behavior,
  • the page can be enlarged up to 200%,
  • video playback with subtitles is enabled,
  • the use of different heading levels is enabled.

“Accessibility Menu” plugin

The website also offers a dedicated “Accessibility Menu” plugin to promote inclusion and accessibility for all user groups. This allows people with different types of disabilities to perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the website in a customized way.

The following options are available:

  • Color schemes:
    • black and white
    • dark contrast
    • light contrast
  • Stop movement
  • Readable fonts
  • Underlined links
  • Change font size

Level of compliance

The website https://www.festival-uni.si/ is partially compliant with the Law on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications.

Inaccessible content due to disproportionate burden:

We continuously monitor the accessibility of the website and improve individual accessibility elements on an ongoing basis. The website complies with the SIST EN 301 549 V3.2.1 standard required by the ZDSMA and can be used by people with various types of disabilities. Nevertheless, some of the content currently published does not meet all the accessibility requirements set out in the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.

Examples of such content are:

  • scanned documents in PDF format,
  • various complex tables with data,
  • alternative descriptions of uploaded images,
  • content in formats that require the use of dedicated applications,
  • archival materials and content.

Notifications of non-compliance, requests for information, and content that does not fall within the scope of the Directive are accepted at info@festival-uni.si. We will respond to notifications or requests within 8 days of receipt. If we are unable to provide an adequate response within this period due to the nature of the content requested, we will inform you when a response will be provided and the reasons for the delay.

Enforcement

If you find any deviations from the provisions of the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act, you can submit a report to the Information Society Inspectors by regular or electronic mail to: gp.ijs@gov.si

The inspectors for the information society supervise the implementation of the provisions of Articles 5 to 8 of the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications Act.
